 Basic Simple Interest Formula

0

Where:

  • P = Principal
  • R = Rate of Interest
  • T = Time

 Amount Formula

1

 Trick 1: Direct SI Calculation

Example:

P = 5000
R = 10%
T = 2 years

Using formula:

2

= 1000

✅ Answer = 1000

 Trick 2: Fast Percentage Method

Time Interest
1 year10%
2 years20%
3 years30%

Example:

P = 8000
Rate = 10%
Time = 3 years

30% of 8000 = 2400

✅ Answer = 2400

 Trick 3: Find Rate Quickly

3

Example:

SI = 1200
P = 6000
T = 2 years

R = (1200 ×100)/(6000×2)

= 10%

✅ Answer = 10%

 Trick 4: Find Time Quickly

4

Example:

SI = 1500
P = 5000
R = 10%

T = (1500×100)/(5000×10)

= 3 years

✅ Answer = 3 Years

 Trick 5: Find Principal Quickly

5

Example:

SI = 2000
R = 8%
T = 5 years

P = (2000×100)/(8×5)

= 5000

✅ Answer = 5000

 Shortcut Observation Trick

If:

  • Rate = 10%
  • Time = 5 years

Then: Interest = 50% of Principal

Example:

P = 4000

50% of 4000 = 2000

✅ SI = 2000
