Why Page-10 Is Crucial

Most students lose marks not because they don’t know concepts, but because they attempt wrong questions at the wrong time.

IIT Truth:
JEE Advanced rewards decision-making more than hard work.

Step-1: Classify Every Question (Within 5 Seconds)

Type Meaning Action
Type-A Direct / Familiar Attempt immediately
Type-B Multi-concept but solvable Mark & return
Type-C Time-trap / confusing Skip without guilt

Step-2: Ideal Time Allocation (Physics)

  • Easy question → 1.5–2 minutes
  • Moderate question → 3–4 minutes
  • If stuck > 90 seconds → move on
Golden Rule:
If progress stops, marks stop.

Step-3: Smart Skipping Is a Skill

Skipping is not weakness. Skipping is strategy.

Skip Immediately If:

  • Algebra becomes very heavy
  • Too many unknown variables
  • Diagram itself is confusing
  • You feel panic instead of logic
IIT Psychology:
One skipped question can save two solved ones.

Step-4: Correct Attempt Order

  1. Easy conceptual questions
  2. Formula-based numericals
  3. Graph / interpretation questions
  4. Lengthy multi-step problems

Never start with the toughest question.

Step-5: Handling Negative Marking

Situation Decision
100% sure Attempt
2 options eliminated Attempt cautiously
Pure guess Do NOT attempt

Step-6: Mental Control Inside Exam

  • Ignore others’ speed
  • Do not panic if first 10 minutes feel hard
  • Breathe slowly after every 5 questions
Mindset:
Calm mind solves faster than sharp mind.

30-Second Self-Check (Every 30 Minutes)

  • Am I rushing?
  • Am I stuck too long?
  • Am I choosing wisely?

What Comes in Stage-2?

  • Concept depth building
  • Formula derivation mastery
  • PYQ decoding techniques

Stage–1 Completed Successfully ✅ You are now exam-ready at a strategic level.
